Fun Restaurants in Chicago

While you're in Chicago, you can't skip the staples like deep-dish pizza and Chicago-style hotdogs. Try some of these beloved Midwest dishes before you dive into the unique international cuisines available here.

Best Deep-Dish Pizza in Chicago

Lou Malnati's

You can't visit Chicago without eating at Lou Malnati's. While there are a few other deep-dish pizza restaurant chains to choose from, Lou's is hands down the best. You can indulge in a family-size pizza for the whole table, or opt for your own with one of their personal-size pizzas.

Best Chicago-Style Hotdogs

Devil Dawgs

With four locations in the city, you can't miss this iconic Chicago hotdog spot. Order the classic Chicago dog or opt for a fun burger. You'll also want an order of onion rings and one of their insanely delicious milkshakes.

Weiner's Circle

This tiny hotdog restaurant located on Clark Street is a must-visit if you're searching for a unique hotdog experience. The staff here are known for their unfriendly, witty remarks made to their customers. Let your ego drop a notch or two and grab a hotdog from Weiner's Circle.

Best International Restaurants in Chicago

Polombia Polish-Colombian

Hands down one of the BEST restaurants in Chicago! This Polish-Colombian fusion brings delicious, unique dishes to the table. Literally. It's all so amazing! Another great thing about Polombia is its location. If you've never been to a giant food hall, you need to go to Polombia ASAP.

Wakamono Japanese

Relax and enjoy a delicious Japanese meal here. Their menu has a lot of different options and being a vegetarian, I can strongly recommend this restaurant. There’s something (really yummy) for everyone.

Bien Me Sabe Venezuelan

Get ready for the best Venezuelan food you’ll find in this wonderful city (and probably the entire country). The Arepas are to die for, and their seasonal squash soup (only available in the fall!) is the best you’ll ever have.

The perfect place for Korean cuisine is Del Seoul, located in Lincoln Park. Great for takeout or dining in, this Korean “fast food” restaurant is a great pit stop for lunch and dinner alike. They have some options for vegetarians as well.
