Best Location to Stay in Florence


Florence is very walkable. If you stay near the city center, you'll be close to many sights and activities. The best locations to stay in Florence are Santa Croce and Santa Maria Novella. These two neighborhoods have many hotel and Airbnb options and are walkable.


  • Santa Croce: quieter, but still many restaurants, cafes, activities, etc

  • Santa Maria Novella: city center, busier, close to many things


Best Places to Stay in Florence - Hotels


Finding a place to stay for your vacation can be a hassle. We've gone ahead and found the best hotels in Florence so you only have to choose between three: budget, mid, and luxury. All of the following places to stay in Florence are wonderful and have their own perks, so pick the one that best meets your needs and get booking! You do not want to miss out on this vibrant Italian city.


Budget | "Hotel Dali"


The perfect, affordable hotel for couples is Hotel Dali. It is very close to the Duomo and many other popular sites. Along with being affordable, Hotel Dali is spacious and comfortable, and charmingly decorated.


It also offers wifi, free parking (which is incredibly rare for Florence), and a very welcoming atmosphere. The owners truly want you to have an excellent stay. Some rooms even offer a fridge and stovetop which is great if you want to save more money and cook some meals at home!

Mid Range | "I Sleep B&B"


This hotel offers a great location, kind and helpful staff, and breakfast included! I Sleep B&B is about a 3-minute walk from Piazza del Duomo and very close to many other top attractions in Florence. The cleanliness is also a huge bonus here, and the furniture and appliances are all quite new and chic.

If you are looking for a luxury stay while in Florence, Hotel Bernini Palace is a great place for you. With lovely staff, beautiful decor, spacious rooms, and a rooftop terrace, this hotel lives up to its luxury expectations. Breakfast is also included here, and the food is amazing.


Some rooms enjoy a nice view of the pretty private courtyard, and some rooms even have views of the city and the bell tower. There are also minibars in the rooms, along with bathrobes, wifi, and TVs. Not to mention its steps away from Piazza del Duomo.

Best Places to Stay in Florence - Airbnbs


Below are the best Airbnbs Florence has to offer. There are so, so many to choose from, and sorting through them all is tedious and time-consuming, so we've done the dirty work for you. Take a look at the Airbnbs and find where to stay in Florenc depending on your travel style.



If you're looking to visit Florence, Italy without spending a ton, which is very possible, then this is the place for you! "Your Home" is a quaint, one bedroom condo located close to many of Florence's popular attractions. It even has a view of the top of the Duomo! This is a great place for couples to stay while in Florence if you want to save money on accommodation but still be in a great location to explore the best of this Tuscan city.

This one bedroom apartment has a queen bed along with two pullout couches. It has a little balcony overlooking a very charming street as well, making a great place to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring Florence. Magazzini dei Medici also has wifi and is located very close to most popular sights. The host, Eleanora, runs a family restaurant nearby, and her local recommendations are super helpful too!

Looking for a place with incredible views, beautiful decor, and a working space? The View of Sangiorgio is perfect for you! This two-bedroom apartment is very spacious for Florence.


It has a large terrace complete with outdoor living furniture and incredible views of the city, including the Duomo, as well as the mountains in the distance. It's close to many restaurants and attractions which makes for accessible exploring by foot. Complete with beautiful decor, wifi, and separate workspace, this apartment is a great place to stay in Florence.

What to Do in Florence


There are many things to do in Florence, Italy. From admiring historical monuments and marvelous gardens to enjoying local cuisine and sipping on a cappuccino with a view. While the options are endless, there are several things you can't miss here.
